Rineen National School was awarded a Green Schools Flag for participating in environmental improvement initiatives. Green School activities we have participated in include composting, gardening, battery recycling, anti-litter projects, paper recycling, mobile phone recycling, clothes recycling.  An annual clean-up of The White Strand, Miltown Malbay was also conducted as part of The National Spring Clean.
